Singapore after dark: 10 photos on film

Last year, I had the opportunity to travel to Asia for the first time. I went to Singapore for business and found myself with 5 extra days to spend.

Singapore is similar to Recife in its weather. Which means, it’s very hot and the humidity feels like you’re being cooked alive in a steam pan. The good part is that it’s a very safe country to walk on the streets, so I had an opportunity that I could never have in my city. Taking shots at night alone! In Recife, I’d probably lose my camera and smartphone.

With a tripod, the Bessa 3Rm camera mounted with the Ultron 28mm and Kodak Ultramax 400, I walked at night in Singapore, taking pictures. Such a great experience.

The city has a cyberpunk vibe with neon, high-tech, and dystopian aesthetic. It’s also very well characterized by “high tech, low life”.

The set of photos below is part of the experiment I’m going through. Only using a 28mm lens for a year!
